Graphics Card compatibulity.

I have a Asus P5GC-MX motherboard, 3GB RAM and Intel core 2 Duo E4600 CPU.

Which GPU is compatible for this rig?

do not go for preset card its better to use a second hand card like 900 series or later .also please upgrade your ram at least 8gigs before upgrading your gpu

The motherboard supports only 4GB of RAM (2x2GB). It doesn't support 8GB of RAM.

opps sorry to see that i think i misspelled the model. This is too old and i'm not sure this on have pcie 3.0 slot. so its better to go for low end card and upgrade your ram to 4GB. and go for gtx 5 seris or 6 series gpu like 550 or 650. it will work with your pc but most of time it will get some bottleneck because of pcie gen 2.0 slot. but im pretty sure it will full compatible with your pc . btw whts your operating system ?

I'm using Windows 10 Home 32 Bit.

I'm using Windows 10 Home 32 Bit.

its better to go with 650 because 550 software support was ended. and also please reinstall 64bit windows operating system because nvidea doesn't provide newest drivers for 32bit systems. your system capable of running 64bit operating systems because it has 64bit instruction set in cpu if you get any errors check your bios the toggle on the 64bit instruction mode. but surely there will be a huge bottleneck with your cpu and motherboard but it cannot be fixable because motherboard pcie gen is 2.0 and cpu capabilities. but im highly recommend its better to go for at least 2nd gen i5 pc with gpu  without spending much money on this. it will perform much better than this. because 4 cores cpu and pcie 3.0 interface.

its hard to find pcie 2.0 gpus these days in second hand markets.

My PC's CPU 64 Bit supports. But, Motherboard supports only Windows 32 Bit OS. No 64 Bit supports.

When 64 Bit installed, it came STOP_CODE and restarts.

actually drivers for 64bit OS is available so it should support 64bit windows. if you unable to install it. dont go for any GTX series one. i think its better to build a new pc rather than upgrading it. OR if you can please find a gpu which works in PCIE 2.0. The gpus are cheaper than GTX series and lower in performance. Please check http://www.neoview.lk . and select the pcie 2.0 card which has the highest VRAM (amount of mb or GB). and get SATA ssd as the boot drive it will increase the responsiveness of the pc.(128GB) is enough.. its the only thing you can do. But I don't think you can be able to do present video editing or gaming in this computer smoothly. if its your target its better to build a pc.

choice is yours... 🙂

I thing my PC doesn't match with GPU. I will upgrade my PC to SSD and I use it like "studying PC".
